That is a rough weekend Shawn.
Glad that you got through it.
I am now the proud owner of a 85 Chevy Diesel parts truck, that runs great but needs some transmission work

Here's the rough draft of the page that I'm starting on it

And I entered a true story on another forum hoping that I'll win a boat for a friend of mine.
My story is the top contender, and I'm really hoping that I'll win her this cute little pram

Here's the story that I entered
This story is 100% true, and happened to me.
If it's the winning story I'll give the boat to my 1 friend mentioned whom I'm hoping will be moving to the Okanagan soon.
I was living in peachland at the time, and met up with a friend of mine. She was meeting 4 other friends (whom I had never met before) and joining them on their boat.
She of course asked me to join them, and we had a good time floating around and going for the odd swim. However it wasn't enough, 1 of the women asked the owner if we could go into Kelowna and go dancing in a water front pub. We had a good time in there, and left shortly after dark. I chose to sit on the passanger seat instead of riding in the bow this time.
Well that's pretty well the end of my memories for the night. I only remember being intrested in the owner, and understand that she was as intrested in me.
Apparantly 2 people on the boat did a head count partly through the trip and counted 7 people on the boat. However only 6 of us ever left the dock that night. They both claim that the seventh person was standing in between us all. (Could it have been an Angel?)
The next puzzling thing is the boat apparantly suddenly hit 3 hard objects, slowing it down a little and throwing the nose skywards.
Well you can imagine that we flew into the shore on the wrong side of the Okanagan Lake. Close to Rattlesnake Island.
Everyone figures that if we didn't hit those 3 hard objects we'd all be dead, and you'll understand why when you read the newspaper artical that I'll post. (I'm told that the picture they have is the least scary as well)
I woke up in pain, and unable to really breath after (I'm told) breaking the dash on a SeaRay.
From what I understand someone had somehow managed to find a cell phone in all the wreakage, and phoned 911.
The rescue boats had nothing but open water approaching the boat, and never did find those 3 hard objects that we had hit.
When we got to KGH 4 of the passangers got released (2 of them got released because there were no beds, and 2 weren't hurt)
The owner broke her Sturnem, and had to spend 2 days in there.
I fractured 2 vertibrates (which is where my bad back comes from) broke more ribs than they could count, plus my Sturnem as well, and badly bruised my lungs. Which also got punctured.
Anyways I had a good friend of mine from Canmore coming up for a visit the next day. I got my mom to phone her (I could hardly speak) and tell her what happened. My mom told her that she didn't have to come, but I would still love to see her.
So I'm really gratefull that she did come up, and she really helped me more than the hospital ever could.
She even smuggled me in a natural pain killer when the Morphine wasn't helping. The natural pain killer did help.
I am so gratefull that this friend of mine drove 5 or so hours to see me, when she was tired after work, and yet my friends that were living in the Okanagan couldn't make it.
She is the person that I'll give the boat to if I have the opertunity to win it.
Thanks for letting me share my story
