vtec and boooost
howdy everybody, i have a jdm b18b and eventually i want to turbo it. since i have to run oil lines for the turbo i was thinking about also going lsvtec and just splitting off the turbo line for it. the turbo i want (GT28RS) starts pushing full boost at around 3K to 3500. my idea is to set the vtec engagement really really low, like 3500 or 4000, to take advantage of full boost and just make it kill. anybody have any opinions on if it is a good idea or not? thanks!

Re: vtec and boooost
If you set vtec too low, you'll lose low end power. Get it professionaly tuned, and let the tuner figure out the best vtec engagement point for your setup.

3-3.5k is definitely not enough to make ls/vtec turbo...or a reliable one at least

if you are getting your car professionally tuned, they will adjust the VTEC engagement accordingly.....if you're tuning it then i would worry about where it is going to happen
