Thats why I do not like it on just because of this. Your battery goes dead with it on, will usually mess it up too.
Might get lucky and get something to work.

Oh you werent being rude.

Re: LOC anti-theft radio problems...

Good morning.... Just got up and logged on.. No of course not, oldmike... you are not rude at all. I am still new to this Theftlock stuff so I appreciate the comments. I hope the 0000 works too... My neighbor had his radio locked by the previous owner years ago. Then his battery went dead, and he was stuck. He had tried everything but had no luck. So he bought a new aftermarket radio instead. I have his old, locked radio here.... he was gonna throw it away so I took it for spare parts (the knobs). Someday I'll connect it to a 12v power supply and toy around with it. It will be like a learning tool.....
Take care everyone..... busy day today for me. I bought new headlights and might install 'em today. Gee how I wish Pontiac had made this easier, lol. Oh well... gotta get going here. Take care all..

Re: LOC anti-theft radio problems...

sorry for not responding, was away for a bit. I did try the method and it really didnt work, followed it to the T to try and get the display code, no good.

I had to go back and find the cheque that I used when I purchased the car from a private sale, contacted him by using the online phone directory online and hoping he remembered the code.....he did set the code when he bought the car...score he knew the code, I put it in and bam!

I deffintly wrote the code in the manual.

Thanks for all the put there feedback in.

Re: LOC anti-theft radio problems...

Glad to hear you got it going. I think putting the code in the manual is a smart thing to do. Thieves are smart enough to know how to break these codes anyway, so the only people its causing trouble for is the legit owner.
