Re: Track Day
prolly wasn't turbo then like you say. the owner prolly just said it was. R/T's don't effect the 1/4 time btw tho.

Unless ur tranny is slipping like mine...then all u get is bouncing off the rev limiter.
Yea it looks like from the times the Cobra had some traction issues, and prolly some shifting issures.

It was that guys first time at the track also. He was later running 14.1's and I believe he did hit a 13.8

Nice... what kind of tires?? 2.1 ain't half bad on regular street tires... work on your launch, getting the 60' consistantly as low as you can, and your ETs will love it

you sure? if you look at the thread starters times, each time his R/T improved, so did his 1/4 mile time. notice how the run with his lowest r/t and 60' is also his only run in the 13's.

that sounds about right to me. damn, i wish i had been there to see it. i'm impressed by the fact that you managed to get 7 runs in. at the track i've gone to we got 4. and i've gone as a spectator since then and everyone there only got 2-3 runs.

Re: Track Day
i'm quite sure, 60' time affect E/T, but R/T doesn't, the timer doesn't even start until the car moves off the line. example, say my car runs 14.5 consistantly, i could sit there at the line after the light turns green for exactly 4.5 seconds, then launch like normal and cross the finish in the normal time, the e/t will not be a 20, it'll be a 14.5 like usual. give it a try next time you're out if you don't believe me.
