I change the air suspension from my 1998 Lincoln Town car and need a help to find how to turn off the air suspension message.
Thanks for any help.

Is there anything else that is required, I pulled the relay (#4) & the fuses for the air suspension (12 & 17) & the "Air Suspension" message still is there.

Take a look for this plug: To turn the light off and disable the air suspension, you must unhook the air suspension module.
The module is located in the luggage compartment, behind the air suspension switch. Pull back the wall carpet and remove the 2 nuts that hold the suspension module. Unplug the suspension module and bolt the module back in place. (Do not remove module from vehicle. Leave in vehicle incase you want to put air suspension back on your vehicle.)

Did this help? By now, you may have resolved this. Sorry it's been so long since your original post. I just found this site and signed on Jan '06.

Re: Turn off the "AIR SUSP" Message

I have confirmed with a Federal Mogul technical specialist that their instructions with the coil conversion kit are NOT correct for 1998 Lincoln Town Cars and later models. Because the air suspension system is now linked with the Electronic Variable Orifice Power Steering and data is sent from the Air Suspension/EVO Steering Module over the Multiplex Communication Network there is now NO WAY to shut off the air suspension warning message after converting from rear air springs to coil springs. He assured me that the coils work well after the conversion, but one has to be willing to live with the warning message. He also told me that they have requested the coil manufacturer (Moog) to correct their instruction sheet to reflect this reality on the newer models, but so far they have chosen to continue with the old instruction sheet.

Re: Turn off the "AIR SUSP" Message

Good work, HaroldEP, I have a '96 and the info I got worked for me. The newer model, 1998, apparently, made a change in how they deal with that.

Thanks,

Bill
