Re: '96 3.8 vs '04 Ram 1500 HEMI ??
the best mod u can do to beat that thing in a 3.8 is go grab a different car all together... or u can spend a ton of money like i did to rebuild the 3.8 and spray the piss out of it, get a turbo or a s/c. and that truck isnt so powerful that u need a great launch he can just mash on the gas and go and win that race...now when we get into the high numbers thats when u will see the spinning in one spot, and the truck going sideways on ya. i dont see him doing much of that, he may smoke the tires for the first few feet...but that camaro will loose

Re: '96 3.8 vs '04 Ram 1500 HEMI ??
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ux/index2.html
.....the Ram posted a nearly identical run of 15.11 seconds at 89.06.....
http://allpar.com/model/ram/dodge/review-hemi.html
.....acceleration from a standing stop is stunning - with quarter mile times at or under 16 seconds and 0-60 times around 7 seconds.....
so now I have some ideas, that with professional drivers for a test of the car, it will run better or close numbers. Now I know my stock camaro runs about a 15.9. If the first article is right, and I need a little under a second off my time, I dont think I'm gonna need to blow a ton of cash right? And if the second article is right, it would be a very close race, right? I'm just thinking outloud, what are everyone elses' thoughts on this?
