Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Bad situation

Well it's day nine and still no word on my truck. I was really hoping to get it by the weekend but no luck. I did want to chime in on a couple things on the post.

First, I thought about getting the part off of an 05 but they changed back to rear drum brakes in 05 and mine are all disk brakes. So I don't think it will work.

Also, I talked to the service dept., and I think they have done everything they can do; they called GM, with no luck, and then they called the other dealers even in other states. The last I heard they were waiting for the dealers to call them back.

I find it hard to believe GM cannot provide me with the part. I thought they stocked parts for 10 years on most vehicles. What will really bother me is GMAC is going to want my monthly payment before long, and it's upsetting to pay for a vehicle they can't seem to fix.

I'm feeling your pain driving this trailblazer. It is alright off of the line, but if you try to speed up going 45-55 it just struggles.

Re: Bad situation

I thought I would give an update and some advice. I just got my truck back today, over a month since I took it to the chevy place. Apparently the part was backordered.

My advice is, if you have this problem with the abs module, make sure your chevy dealer has it before you take it to them, or get it rebuilt for $150. I found out now if I had taken the truck to a near by dealer they had the part and could have fixed it the same day. They just would not share the part.

Well I nailed that situation right on the head

They may have tried and there were none available or if the other dealer was smart (and knew that the part was hard to get), they would have kept one on their shelf for their loyal customers…Good Business
Anyway, glad you got it taken care of.
