2003 Volkswagen Beetle Codes
I am new to the Volkswagen New Beetle scene and I don't know to check for check engine codes on my 2003 Volkswagen Beetle. Where do I look to see the codes? Also, is there any website that you know of where I can see what each code means? Sorry if these are such newbie questions but like I said I am new to the scene and my Beetle has a check engine light coming on. Thanks a bunch in advance for any help.

You need a diagnostic scanner to read the codes, usually a generic OBD-II machine will work, most larger auto parts chain stores have them avaiable to borrow. Code list:
