Re: Engine swapping question

rebuilding is something i dont know how to do or have time to do really, and neither does the mechanic i know, so ill debate whether or not to buy a wrecked z24 and use the engine or whether to stick with a 2.2, i already have 1 parts car, but its got alot of kms on it aswell, and its not a z24, so it might be a pain in the ass to have another car sitting around

Ok, let me illustrate mod'd cav's point. An engine with more displacement has more space to fill. Assuming that the air/fuel isnt being forced into the engine, the bigger engines will draw in more air/fuel mixture into the engine than the smaller ones because there is more space to fill. Mod'd cav's point is that the bigger the engine, the more air and fuel it draws into the engine. So a 2.2 uses less than a 2.4, the 2.4 uses less than the 3.1, and the 3.1 uses less than the 3.8, and so on and so forth.

Yes I can read, and you know what that quote says to me? That you want to convert it to AWD, if you didnt want to why would you ask?

Mod'd Cav went of off what someone else told him, and it was a little incorrect. BIG FUCKIN DEAL. Atleast he has an excuse "being stupid"....

yea, again, the dude made it sound like i was gonna have to convert to rwd so i can put the bigger engine in it, now if your going trough all the trouble of making in rwd it is absolutely no harder to make the car awd then it would be to make it rwd as the only diffrence would be the f-ing tranny.

Oh no not my post count! Post count means nothing. Case in point: you have over 1800 and you dont know shit. Who gives a fuck if hes got a body kit? I bet it looks better than YOUR car. Yeah I get help thats what I am here for. That beat up DSM in my sig is my friends car that I work on, not the one of someone that I get help from. Go get your haynes manual and I bet it wont be able to tell you how to throw in anything other that whats in there. The only reason I corrected you is becausey you are an ass hole. Please get the fuck out of our forum.

Re: Engine swapping question

you are an asshole. I would take his advise over yours anyday. you spend too much time trying to insult people and pretending to know shit that you don't. and when you're not, you're bitching because people are giving you a "hard time." grow up. sometimes you just need to STFU.

You judged mod'd when you called him stupid before meeting him now didnt you? I dont care if no one needs my help. Sorry man, but you wanted to remote twin turbo a 3.8 drop in your 96 cav and convert it to RWD, not many people will see the logic.

no not at all, i didnt wanna convert anything but the engine. i asked if i could make the car awd (if i was gonna have to make it rwd why not right?)

and then after i asked about awd i asked if it was possible to keep the car FWD which no one responed to.
