Smile Neon lights inside car LEGAL!!

Yo, I live in TX, I know, from another post, that neon lights under the car are only legal when the car is parked. What about those long neon rods, like the red ones, that blink to your music/bass, i want to put a red one in my backseat below the backwindow, but not on the window, just on the place below it. let me know if this is legal if you can, thanks -pz

In kentucky you can not have a flashing red or blue light of any type in or on your car. Flashing neon to the beat falls in this category. Besides it looks dumb. ( that part is my opinion, not law)

I know that in Arizona that it is against the law to have any other color on your car then red, white, amber. And it is illegal to have red in the front or sides. Unless you have neon lights that are red/amber/white, have a kill switch handy. Inside I am not sure.

I've heard that here in IL they are all legal, any color, but the deal is is that you have to be stopped and parked. if you are driving with them on they are consitered a "driver distraction" and therefore are illegal. nut they are OK if your parked. I have a pair of blue ones behind my backseats they work well there, and I've never been pulled over even when I had them on while driving, just make sure you have a switch for them where you can shut them off quickly should the need arise.

i know where i live(Ny) you can have all the neon lights on your car you want as long as they are hidden...so like you cant have a tube of neon on your roof or nething like that ...because it is a safety hazard to "older drivers" who knows what the H#ll that means.

The general rule I've heard in most states is that if you can see the source, its illegal. It just depends on how much of a jerk the officer is. And besides a neon in the back window is gettin to be like altezza's, windshield washer lights, and fake rims: Waaaaaaaay overdone. Think of something original

I thought that everyone put lights and stuff like that on their cars to be original like everyone else. i say make your car fast without making it look gay so people don't suspect that you can beat them in a race, works for the M5.

about those lights....

I live in Texas also.. And one of my friends got pulled over for blue lights INSIDE the car.. but never for the lights on the bottom. The po-po told him... that it's illegal to have red or blue INSIDE the car but not on the bottom. Course he could be lying.. Who knows. Anyways, far as I know.. Red and blue are illegal if they're INSIDE.
