if your language skills and writing skills are any indicator of your mechanical skills --- well then, you have no hope of fixing your vehicle with the help of this forum or gaining any respect on this forum.

Re: blazer acceleration

If the passenger side is clean, that indicates a leak/fault in the fuel pressure regulator. At least, that is what I think you mean, gtboiii11. Please slow down and post coherent replies and questions - it will make our job of helping you easier. Make reference to Blazer's previous post of over a year ago on what to do when you find a washed intake plenum. There's about 10 pounds of free advice in a 5 pound bag in that thread.

Re: blazer acceleration

lol well great i get to spend 300 tommorow on a new cpi i love putting money into my blazer, over 3k since ive owned it, after i replace the cpi i know i must have other problems too, the blazer has the slowest acceleration out of any vehicle i have ever driven, i mean when i floor the thing u can feel it drop down and just sits there and doesnt really accelerate, could the cpi be at fault for this also and will i see a big improvement when a new one goes in, under my plenum look almost identical the blazer lts pics.

Re: blazer acceleration

your plenum looks very similar to mine, did you notice a very tiny difference after the effect of the new cpi kicked in or a rather large difference and does your blazer accelerate nicely or is it also pretty slow if your floor it?

I bought mine used from my parents. Most of the expensive repairs were because of my father's improper repairs in the past. AKA, flywheel, starter, alternater.

I don't know where you could dump $3000 into it. I think you may need to find a new mechanic or learn to do some repairs on your own and not reply on expensive grease monkeys.

This will fix the problem. You best be getting it fixed and get the oil out of the crankcase seeing it is probably laden with fuel.

Repair BOTH the CPI injector AND the nut kit. Clean the EGR port in the upper plenum and make sure you use a fresh upper plenum gasket when putting it all back together. Also check all the vacuum hoses and replace if they are old.

Re: blazer acceleration

only about 700 was labor from the 3000 and 550 of that was for the transmission rebuild in the past year i have installed myself, a 5 inch lift, 4 new shocks, new tires, new fuel pump sending unit and tank, new catalyic convertor, muffler and tailpipe, new fan clutch, new pads rotors, front stabilizer links, master brake cylinder, idoler arm, complete tune up yesterday and theres probably some stuff i am forgetting, the past owner took such terrible care of the blazer that it is costing me a fortune for maintenance she did not do in the past, her oil cooler went obviously undetected by her at 86k and she paid 3300 to have a brand new vortec put in and i paid 2800 for the truck about 2 years back so i guess i am paying for her mistakes but hoping the truck will be well worth it when i am finished o and by the way 1327 dollars of that 3000 was for the transmission rebuild and new torque convertor and o yea did i mention the cool part, the transmission cooler
