'05 Camry Seat Belt Buzzer
We just pruchased an '05 Camry. Love the car, but the seat belt buzzer is enough to drive me crazy.
If you're not all buckled up when you start driving, you are harassed by the buzzer for what seems like forever....it even changes tones for a while. (on his first trip in the car, my son asked if we were about to blow up) Once the car has determined you're in safe and sound, the buzzer will stop and things aren't so bad..... Until you get to your destination.....if you're like me, I unbuckle in anticipation of coming to a stop....maybe 5 seconds before actually stopping....this of course triggers another audible assault from the seat belt buzzer, which seems to beep away until you shut the car off. Then more beeping from the door chime because now the door is open and the key is in the ignition. Does anyone know how to disable the buzzer? I'm sure I can probably find the thing, but if I disable it, am I doing harm to any other systems??? Thanks for reading, and any help would be great. TH |

Give this a shot, it is a matter of the using the odometer select button, the ignition, and the drivers seat belt buckle sensor.
If you touch the brake pedal, it will screw you up, so feet off the brake from the second you get in the car. I also had all doors closed, not sure if that matters. - put in your key and turn the car on, do not start the engine - Set the LCD on the combination meter to the ODO trip. - turn car back off for a minute - turn it back on - Press and hold the TRIP meter reset knob for ten seconds or more within six seconds of turning the ignition switch to the ON position. - Fasten the driver's seat belt while holding the knob (this is the tricky part) - as soon as you fasen the belt, the LCD should change You may have to hit the reset meter knob to cycle through b-ON to b-OFF (b-off, obviously turns the belt warning off) - once you set it to b-off, just sit there and wait and the lcd will return to normal, turn the car off you are done. If you miss any of the little things, it will not work. |

Re: '05 Camry Seat Belt Buzzer
It's not trip A or B. It's the ODO. Like whatever miles are on the car. All the rest is correct.
