Xeno, don't do it. Just get it fixed. If it helps, my car fucked up aswell. My suspension is done in all four corners, ball joints, stabilizing links, shocks/struts, all of it rusted and need replacing. Exhuast system, rusted and needs replacing. Brake system, still works good, but in bad shape and needs replacing. Leaky ass t-tops, f'ed up interior, had to take off complete headliner cuz it was that tacky. A lot of burnt out wires behind dash, so things like memory for the radio, being able to listen to the radio one turn down from locking the steering wheel, doesn't work, don't even have a horn, have alarm system but that doesn't work, my cars need ALOT of TLC. I bought it knowing it needed TLC, but disn't care becuase of the iconic name. It is what i wanted for who knows how long. My 1st car was a nissan 200sx, that i got for $200, but it wasn't the car i wanted. I needed to have a camaro, took me almost 2 years to get the damn thing. You can never go wrong with owning a camaro, no matter what the problems are. All these problems i have, i will not ever sell the damn thing!!! If the motor goes, it will be parked until i save up enough for a new one. If wrecked, parked until new. Don't do it man. Like everyone says, you'll regret it. No matter what car you get there will always be problems. They were not built to last forever, nothing last forever, but we can take care of them and make them last as long as we want. Just get it fixed and be happy, becuase it can be done, just put the effort into it. All i'm saying dude, think about what you're doing.

GAWWWWD! Tough love there Xeno. BUT, they do have a point. Go buy yourself a $1000 beater, 88 civic or some stupid crap, and drive it while you fix your maro. You're going to lose your ASS selling it, and the repairs really can't be that bad if you know your shit and are right about what's wrong with it. If you really like your maro fix the bastard and move on, more cash upfront, but cheaper in the long run.

Then you could REALLY be fucking-a cool... paint you shitball civic like lime green, put like a 4*8 plywood wing on it, spray paint the entire interior silver, hookup a cheapass red flourescent bulb, put a giant fire-chicken sticker on the hood, put like a maxwell house can on the exhaust, take it to a import meet and blow the fucking thing up, smack dab in the middle of everything... BLAM! Then collect the insurance and get your $1K back. You could blame it on improper advice from the improt gang at AF.

LOL!!! Hope its enough to convince him not to sell it. You're absolutely right though, more cash up front and cheaper in the end. It may seem hard and be aggrivating at 1st, but you'll be happy once the shit is done. Don't sell it, get a beater that runs, take the insurance off the maro and put it on the beater, and save to get your maro better.

You know I want to buy a ricer too, a nice little stupid Civ and paint it BRIGHT ASS GREEN, something you'll see on the road and think its a light even when its dark outside, then spray paint the interior red, get a huge ass wing on it, put those stupid wal*mart spinners on em, buy the electric fan 'turbo', get a huge fart can that sratches the ground because I lowered it. Get out with your hair all slicked back, wearing brown polyester pants, rayban aviators and an orange 70's fly-away collared shirt with with wingtips. Slam the door REAL hard and your car blows up... BEAUTIFUL! (Sort of like the Cop-mobile falling apart at the end of the blues bothers, but way more violent, like leave a crater in the parking lot.)

Ehhhh, 6k for the old body style? My buddy just got a '98 with 105k miles for $3,800. It has a few more miles, but it is the newer body style.

1: I don't hate camaros. I can't afford it at this point in my life.
2: I'm going to get a ls1 SS in a while
3: I can't afford to get a civic and fix up the maro
4: I might get a 73 charger from a friend that has a 318 that needs fixing up

6: Bottom line: Civics are cheaper, I don't have alot of cash. I need a 'repair' to be under 400$ once in a blue moon.
