CONTEST*** Click for details!!!! Due Thurs, April 7!!

So here are the rules:

Subject: A concept Sport Utility Vehicle!

Specifics: Any make, and size, as long as its a new SUV.

Rules:
-Don't rip anything off. You will be D/Qed.
-One submission per person.
-Your concept can be for an existing company or a new company you create.
-Your concept needs to be a production model. Meaning no major bling, no lowriders, no massive off-road machines.
-Your concept must be accompanied a logo for both the vehicle and the company.
-Entries must be PMed to me no later than midnight your time, April 7th.
-Size requirements for entry: The largest dimension can be no larger than 600 pixels. Feel free to include a larger version if necessary, but I have to have the smaller version as well.

Mediums: Pencil Only.

Judging: The judging will be setup as a poll on the day following the deadline. Voting will be based on overall quality and creativity.

In-Progress Threads: I would strongly advise against creating them and posting your work before the deadline. It will only give away what the cometition look like.

Prize:I can't put anything tangible up by myself. So unless anyone wants to put up a prize, the winner of this contest gets to decide what the subject of the next contest will be. I will contact the winner to do so.

Feel free to post any questions I did not cover.

Now, GET TO WORK!

I just hope this is not too fast. People get overworked when they have to finish a contest entry weekly! :-)

Question!

Guys, what exactly defines a SUV. Does a car like this Fits into a SUV definition?

(by the way, this car is Brazilian, Troller t4 www.troller.com.br)

Or a jeep wrangler for example...2 doors, AWD and cool design? Can be a SUV?

Thanks
Bye

SUV is a sport utility vehicle, basically an truck meant for onroad use from the factory. Something the family can take to a soccer game or get groceries. A Wrangler is a truck, not an SUV.

Re: CONTEST*** Click for details!!!! Due Thurs, April 7!!

Hun....I still not sure.
Because, do you agree that a wrangler can be considered a SUV, cause he is tought enoght to get off road, almost do some rockcrawling and then go directly to the colege or as you sad, take the kids to the soccer? right? And i think that 99% of the owners of a "Wrangler" have never even saw a sand road...

Ps. I'm not discussing the "Wrangler" it self, but a Wrangler Type...Small, Two doors, a good ride height...and so...

Bye!
Magliano

I think the SUV thing is more at the look that the car has, then into the mechanical.

SUV's are like oversized cars, or luxury trucks. Escalade, Navigator, MDX, XC90, so on and so forth.

Around here at least, 99% of the Wranglers have a lift or some sort of off road modification.

Re: CONTEST*** Click for details!!!! Due Thurs, April 7!!

i do not really see why a wrangler would not qualify, it is a sport utility vehicle, is it not?

would something like an caddy ext or the h2 with the truck bed qualify then because those are just modified suvs.

Yes, a Wrangler WILL qualify.

If it has a bed, its a truck. Otherwise its an SUV. But Im not gonna be a Nazi about it. Just enter what you consider to be an SUV.

Re: CONTEST*** Click for details!!!! Due Thurs, April 7!!

Thanks Guy!!

This discussion is interesting for other topics. But i get it, and the definition of KustmAce is good. IF has a bed is a Truck, if doesn't is an SUV.

By the way, must be funny to ask a "salesmen" from ford or others, to define a SUV hehehe

Bye!
