The next (aluminum) S-Type?
I think the grille and wheels both need to be smaller.
I think the 2001 Jaguar R Coupe's grille would look nice on the next generation aluminum S-Type. http://seriouswheels.com/top-Jaguar-R-Coupe-Concept.htm The next S-Type might use the new Jaguar XJ's aluminum chassis. The new XJ's aluminum chassis is 40 % lighter than if it were steel. It is also 60 % stiffer than its steel predecessor. Last edited by 57JagXKSS; 03-27-2005 at 02:59 PM. |

The 2005 Jaguar Super V8, the flagship XJ, weighs over 800 pounds less than a BMW 760Li thanks to an aluminum chassis.

Re: The next (aluminum) S-Type?
Hey,
Anyone know if they are going to beef up the (albeit already big) 4.2 Liter Supercharged V8? Would be cool to see something to rival both BMW's and Merc's 500 HP options. Just Curious |
