I just clled Borgeson the correct part number is
937 for the vibration reducer $231.88
938 for straight shaft $201.16
both come with 5 year warranty


summit can get 937 for 187.99 but it is a month wait
not to bad

and the correct number at gmpartsdirect is 26073594
and it is $170 which includes shipping so I am going to order the Borgeson for 20 more

For anyone considering a solid shaft replacement, I found this out from the makers while searching for one for my 98:

"We do not offer replacement shafts for '95-'98 models because of liability issues due to the shafts being integrated with the air bag system. An OEM replacement is probably about the only option.

I have a 97 s-10 blazer sterring box either needs tightend up or is wore out, Ive been thinking about swapping the gear box with the zq8 since i need a new one anyhow. will doing the swap really help over stock. Iam tired of slop. thanks Brian
