Re: data collecting recorders

with jets people are paying to get to their destination safely. they're (black boxes) equipped for a great number of reasons, yes, including pilot error because there is more then 2 - 10 lives at risk, we're talking over a hundred lives here.

Re: data collecting recorders

And there are millions of cars on the road carrying much more passengers than all the jets combined.

Face it, you drive like an idiot, you cause an accident, you kill someone, they have the right to the information.

Re: data collecting recorders

put the shoe on the other foot, your siting at a 2 way stop, and in the distence, theres a set of headlights, so yo go for it, and b4 you know it your tale end is where the front end was, meaning t-boned, now your at fault for not waiting at a stop, but if they can prove the person was going over the speed limit quite substantialy, isnt that a good thing? and i know they can get a good estimate on how fast he was going, but the little black box will be dead accurate

AM I TALKING TO A WALL???!!!!

Is this conversation about YOU? No!

It is about someone driving recklessly and the police using the data recorder to prove they were indeed doing that.

Good thing that I was nice to that rental truck that I had yesterday. They went on and on about how if I off-road with it I'm responsable for all the undercarage damage, and insurance wouldn't cover it. Just because I rented a 4x4

If you drive as bad as you prove your point, I don't doubt that you would get in that situation.
