Congrats on the promo, you definitely earned it!
Don't know if anyone else suggested this, but perhaps an 'After You Buy' type. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, tranny/transfer case/diff flush & fill, oil change, etc. I'm sure there's others, but nothing comes to mind.

Re: Ok guys, time to get the Blazer forum organized.
How bout a section for oil issues or any kind of oil or gas additives. Anything from oil pressure switch locations to fuel cleaners. There seems to be ongoing debates and questions that fill up alot of thread space.

It will be done when it gets done.
I don't get paid for this you know and if it takes a while to implement, then that is what it will be.
I do have a life and a day job ya know.

Re: Ok guys, time to get the Blazer forum organized.
I think a fuel system checklist (especially for fuel-injected systems) would be appropriate as not everyone understands tank-to-combustion chamber details.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ok guys, time to get the Blazer forum organized.
how about a brief stickie that suggests to those who may not initially know, that they can also reference the Jimmy, Sonoma, etc forums for certain things that are similar. Perhaps a list as what those similar things are would be appropriate and helpful.
When I first got my Jimmy, I had never owned a GMC product and didn't know it was so similar under the hood to Blazers, Sonomas, etc. Buying the Haynes manual of course helped but again, maybe a brief sticky to inform newbies.

if it hasn't been suggested, I would suggest a "members" section.
where you can post a pic of your truck and introduce yourself to the forum.

Re: Ok guys, time to get the Blazer forum organized.
It would be nice if all the posts could be grouped into folders by vehicle subsection. Just look at the table of contents of a Haynes manual and sub-divide it like it. That way it will narrow it down the areas to look in instead of 12 pages of 125-150 posts each, wasting time clicking on multiple posts.

Re: Ok guys, time to get the Blazer forum organized.
I will probably get blasted for this one, but how about info for us gals that try to figure out some of the problems on our Blazers? Some things may seem simple to guys, but some of us are not familiar with the every day things that go wrong and the easy remedies. My main goal is to figure out what is wrong and then be able to know what some of the remedies might be so I do not get ripped off. Many repair shops look at me walk in and they automatically get that "she is ignorant and I can make a buck" look in their eyes. I like to know what I am talking about and at least be able to do some general diagnostics. It would help a lot if the we could have any area for diagnosing and suggesting remedies for the "mysterious" engine codes. I realize this might be redundant, but it would help the newbies a lot.
Thanks

Let me know which fixes should be compiled in one master list.

The owners manual will have some of the basics. There are too many scenarios to list them all, but if you give me some ideas about some things you would like to know about, I'll be happy to answer any questions that I can.

It's not that hard but you do have to pull on it a bit. I've never had to drop the steering. Once all the screws are out start pulling from the top and the piece will flex and slide out. Just take your time and be careful.

I'll give'r a try one more time, thanks for the info. If not, I guess it's $30 to get a shop to do it (grins)
