This thread is not for your questions about your truck, it is for what I should include in the help compilation.

Congrat's LT--I've been away for a while. Many good sub-categories.

-General Lube category
-DOH----Not checking fuel line tightness on a cpi replacement

Re: Ok guys, time to get the Blazer forum organized.

It will be one thread with all the fixes in one post for people to easily reference.

I cannot include all those sections.

I think we should have year categories, all the questions about that year so that way we can narrow our problems down a lot more

Congratulations!
I’m trying to find the thread on hard starting, rough idle, reading the codes using a jumper wire and reading the flashes of the Eng. Service light. One response was from sykopenguin, SF Regular ,02.25.05. (I printed it to take our to my garage) I have looked but can not find it.
I would like to keep the threads together for ease of finding like information.
Here’s the first question maybe you can help with.
He gave the following diagram for reading the codes:
0 0 0 0 X X
0 0 0 0 0 0
Plug the jumper wire into the two “X”’s.

I have a ’97 S10 Blazer with 4.3L “W” engine, my connector (under dash next to parking brake) looks like this:
0 X 0 X X 0 0 X
X 0 0 X 0 0 0 X
The “X”’s are locations with the “metal sockets” the “0”’s look blank.
So my question is which pins do I jumper?
Thanks and if I can back on that thread I’ll continue my questions and or my results.
Thanks again for the great forum.

You should start your own thread. This one is for site improvement and the one you are looking for is someone else's. (It's not nice to Hi-Jack their thread)

As for your questions:

You can't get codes using jumpers in a 97. You have to use a code scanner.

The thread you are looking for is: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=371113

Thanks and understand.
I wasn't sure about starting a new thread.
Will do.
Thanks for the advice.
I'm still learning the proper etiquette of these forums.

Don't know if you are still taking suggestions or not, but definitely exhaust is a big one. (have started a few on that myself...) Otherwise a way to organize might be to block the forum into sections such as:

Air conditioner and heater
Body/Exterior
Console
Cooling
Electrical
Emission system
Engine
Exhaust system
Frame
Fuel system
Information labels
Instrument panel
Steering gear and linkage
Transmission
Wheels/Tires

Anyway, keep up the good work
