All I can say is that on the dyno horsepower was about the same, and torque was a little better, but my gas mileage improved alot. So the 60 dollars was worth it for me. 1996 2 door LS

Nah, a cold air intake will not affect fuel economy.

Having your engine getting the air it needs it good for proper power production and therefore less of a need to push the go pedal as much.

I gained 3MPG with my intake.
