need to start my 1972 charger that been sitting for 15 years
I need tip on starting a 1972 charger with a 318 engine that I just purchase

I'd disconnect the incoming fuel line from the fuel pump and put an air line to the gas tank to blow out whatever liquid might still be in there, and put some gas in and blow that out as well so it's clean. Then reconnect the hose. Put gas in the tank and leave it.
Have water in the rad. Then I'd probably take the air cleaner off and check for leaves or mouse nests I could find, and if there is none you could try putting a little bit of gas in the carb and, if you can, try starting it up. You'll probably have to try to get it going a few times. Afterward if it still doesn't want to run, then you'll end up having to check if it's getting gas and spark, and repair stuff as you need to. Not too hard.
