Re: New GT-R? But... 2007?
I'm looking forward to seeing it. But, I rather take that supercar Toyota is comming out with. It will kill the next GTR, no offense.

i seriously doubt it unless it comes out a couple years after the GTR. i have read in reports by many car magazines, that talk to engineer's and people that work for toyota, that toyota isnt trying to create another super car in the near future. but i wish the best fo luck...i would like to see another japanese competition for the best cars. that is usually how we get the best cars ever made!!!

I guess we'll see. The latest info in Car and Driver says it could be either a 5L V8 or a V10, with around 500hp. That isn't much more than the GT-R is rumored to have. In addition, the Toyota won't have forced induction, which means probably less torque than the GT-R, and less tunability. The Toyota will probably cost closer to $100k, as well.

nah the GT-r is going to be like the NSX price range i bet... i like the look of the 2007 GT-R, but the old one is better... but sometimes change is good... we'll have to find out and Supra?/?????... i don't think toyota has ever beaten Nissan in performance as yet..maybe i wrong but its an opinion n i bet everyone agrees

The GT-R should be a good bit less than the NSX. The highest rumored price has been $72k. Even if it is that high, you're getting 911 Turbo performance for 911 Carerra money. That's a great value, and Carlos Ghosn said he wanted to keep the price reasonable so that 'you won't feel like you're being ripped off.' Who knows, it might even be less than $72k.

Re: New GT-R? But... 2007?
My guess is anywhere from $42,000-$55,000 fully loaded.
But my savings acount is growing $3,850
I figure by the time it comes out, I'll have enough saved up to make a pretty good dent in the price for a downpayment... God I cant wait.
And even if it never comes out, I'll have enough to import a sweet BNR32.

Re: New GT-R? But... 2007?
I plan to get a GT-R out of college as well if all things goes right and I land that IT network security job. Don't forget that the suspension is being tuned by lotus, the company that makes the best suspensions . Lets hope the looks will be simple but clean and aggressive

Re: New GT-R? But... 2007?
Look at it being less then $60,000. The new Toyota will be upwards of $100,000 and a different category all together. It will have either a V10 or V12 with over 500bhp. Weight, aerodynamics, chasis, and suspension will be F1 inspired. Sorry to say, but the GTR is not quite at that level. They are already testing the prototypes.
