I ran across this while looking up information.
Class 2 data buss adapter
http://www.installer.com/cars/chevrolet.html
allows you to install an aftermarket deck, and keep the chimes.

My ignorance needs assistance
Hello everyone......well I appreciate the tutorial on how to remove the dash etc. My question....I'm trying just to get the trim plate off. Is this possible to do without removing the dash?? I'm afraid to break the trim plate and am not that thrilled with the idea of taking the entire dash out. All for a gauge face cover??!!! : ) I was able to free the trim plate around the bottom of the entire unit but not able....more like afraid to pry it from the top. Help!! : )
