Yeah, civicfreak1, don't run more octane than you really need. It will cost more money, and your motor will be tuned to that octane gas. If it's tuned to 110 leaded race gas and you can't afford a tank so you throw in 91 octane premiem or 100 octane race unleaded...bad things will occur as the fuel maps, timing, etc, would all still set-up and tuned for the 110 leaded race gas. You don't need to go overkill here.

Also, why can't you re-sleeve the motor? A b16A can be re-sleeved fine. Check out AEBS or Darton Sleeves. Benson and Golden Eagle also can re-sleeve your motor with their sleeves if you are looking for a few more options. Those 4 tend to be the main companies. If it's a matter of cost, then watch out spending the $$ on race gas and tuning the motor with that. You don't want to get it all set-up for that and then be forced to run a lesser fuel octane 100 unleaded or 91 supreme street fuel. Honestly, 92 octane supreme (thats what it is around here) should be fine if you've tuned it right. Even 100 Octane unleaded race gas would be fine if you ABSOLUTLY want more octane. Unless you really intend to wack out the timing, 92 should be fine. If you need race gas though, 100 octane will work fine, and should cost less to boot. You don't want to go cheap with motors, but you don't want to go overkill, due to much, and then run out of $$ to keep it tuned or keep filling it wth high octane race gas.

It is like expensive drugs. Once you have it, you can't get enough of it.

This is the kit I run. If you have any questions, PM me

with stock sleeves, you better get that motor tuned really good and get some high octane gas, like c16

your stock sleeves can handle 400whp.

but if you detonate the stock sleeves will crack. thats the thing with aftermarket sleeves, they can take alitle bit of detonation and you dont gotta worry about them cracking, but the stock sleeves are very brittle and will crack under detonation. thats why i say you gotta tune it really good so theres no detonation at all. i would recommend running c16 for fuel also tuning it conservatiely, idk how to spell.
