Question 2002 Tahoe Security

2002 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 2WD 5300.

I have installed a Clifford Concept 100 with Intellistart module. I have utilized the 555L security bypass module to bypass the Chevrolet factory security system.

Under normal operation all messages on the message center work.

Using the Intellistart module, the Security light turns and stays on. Inserting the key while running does not disable this light. The security light will stay on until I turn off the truck using the key.

Does anyone know why? I have tried to connect to the computer and found that I can only read the software version and am locked out of everything else. I have tried diodes on the bypass module in case it is getting feedback.

Re: 2002 Tahoe Security

I had a remote start/alarm installed in my '02 Tahoe and after about 6 months the security light lights up on the dash. I called the shop and they said "no problem" it a common problem. He never expained in detail but I also read that it may need to have the bypass switch reset.
