Custom audio system Design
hey this is the "MONSTER ERUPTION" custom audio system im gonna put in the back of mi Hummer H1 hehe im gonna build it from skratch except for the subs and amps... when i do build it the corners will be round and smooth but i drew straight sharp edges to make it easier to do in photoshop...
the walls are gonna be metallic orange with chrome trim around the edges and speakers... the floor will either be all chrome or orange carpet i am gonna start this project real soon ....BUT I NEED SPEAKERS AND SUBS ...Does anyone have any????? Bart P.S. Please add opinions and comments |

What'cha going to build it out of? For subs, go to your hobby shop and look at Pegasus Accesories. www.pegasushobbies.com Im trying to find a link to the product.

Re: Custom audio system Design
im not too sure what im gonna build it out of yet lol ... i was thinking of building like a base skeleton type of thing like in the pictures above and then put putty or plasticine on top to give it the smooth round edges i want then coat it with glue sand it and painted.. i have done something of this sort to a body of a modifier and it seemes to work out ... then i will set the amps and subs into the shape ...
...if anyone has any better ideas please post them.... .... should i put chrome or carpet on the floor??? ....i am also gonna put a glass lid over the top i think it would look nice Thanx Bart |

Re: Custom audio system Design
I suggest either balsa or styrene.

Re: Custom audio system Design
build the system from styrene, just make sure to plan it out. as for the amps, you could do like I do. I take a picture of a real one and scale it down then glue it to a few pieces of plastic to give it thinkness, i did this on my Escalade and on my Dodge D-50. for the subs, the only thing i can say is either buy some from hoppin hydros or pegasus or rob a jada toy for them. Another possibility is because you arent really going to see the subs that well inside of a truck back, you can do the same thing with a subwoofer picture and scale it down, print it, cut it out and glue it into place. I've done this a few times and it can pull off a pretty realistic sub when you need alot and dont want to buy them. If you need some pics or reference, i'dbe glad to help.
