Re: E-turbos

Well first off
1) it is a givin' that it will affect your performance (in a good way) for the simple fact that IT PUSHES MORE AIR into the intake.
2) I think they are a very good Idea and with some other modifications could be a Really good idea. if you were to couple the e-turbo with a cold air intake, a higher flow fuel pump, adjustable f/p regulator, and some slightly bigger injectors, you are looking at a fairly decent power gain, for cheap.
3) I have a friend who used the same basic concept of this e-turbo. He had a Chevette. He got a blower motor out of one of the old chevys, (the ones that pump a lot of air) fabricated a box and set this on his carb. the filled the washer pump with Alcohol , ran the squirter lines to the box and possitioned them to spray into the carb. He would take this Chevette down to the local races and would beat almost anyone (and not just other chevettes) he would beat Corvettes and Montes, and camaros etc...
With that being said, I see no reason that with a few right mods this e-turbo could be a good investment.

Re: E-turbos

umm lets get real here, bigger fuel injectors are only needed if your running more than around 8 PSI on a cavy, so bigger injectors will do nothing. High flow pump? again not needed on the cavy. Im skeptical of the one i bought but i have high hopes. 2 PSI, 800 CFM/22,000 LPM, witha 10HP money back guarante. If it can do what it says, 2 PSI im hoping to get 20HP from it, i figure if the GM SC can make 40HP on 4.5PSI, then i should be about half that, + a little cause theirs no SC pulling HP away from engine.

Re: E-turbos

Well Yeah Lets get real. I didn't say get some Gonzo sized injectors I said a slightly bigger injector with a better flow rate. The high flow fuel pump would be if you were adding something bigger in the future: ie Turbo or supercharger. They were only sugestions if you don't like then then whatever.
