Re: off topic question

So you wouldn't have to follow the dog? LOL Well this turned interesting. Almost reminds me of the tbi threads. LOL Every one gets numbers mixed up now and again. However, you should know what your saying before you post pictrures. And are you sure those 1.7s are for sbc? I've only seen them for bbc's. In any event, that's a whole hell of a lot of valve lift, like a 660 lift. I'm not sure, I'm sure someone will do the math. Anyway, It's work time. Later

Hell they are in the box havent felt like putting them in for a test fit. Was told by numerous local boys they will work just fine and that I just need to run a longer pushrod (got those) to make up for it.

as far as the rockers
Search for Scorpion 1.7 roller rockers They are for sbc's

they'll fit in the bore just fine and you'll have to get pre-87 pushrods, but with the lobe at peak lift i think the top of the lifter will sit flush with the lifter boss. might be a bitch if you have to take em back out

ya 1.7 seems a little much. are you sure you got enough valve to piston clearance.

Re: off topic question

yeah thats something else i have been wondering, cuz your talking about using the thin gaskets to get 10.7 for your compression, and that cam you said with those rockers is .583 lift. thats hella lot for a sbc. are you planning on this being a track only car cuz its not going to be verys streetable.

Re: off topic question

thats alot of risk just for like 430 hp. thats about all come up with. 436 at like 7800RPM's. you could use a roller comp cams XE cam and get almost the same about of power with 1.5 rockers, and have it totaly streetable. but you said you got it all cheep so i guess you use what you can. but i think your going to have problems.
