I think the plethora of JDM NSX's is more due to positive image rather than cost.

Look at it this way, what's the main reason that Acura only sold 11 NSX's in 2002? It's quite simple; you could go down the block and get a Corvette that did the same stuff for less money.

The Vette has the name, power, and prestige at a bargain price compared to the admittedly underpowered Acura NSX.

Just goes to show, don't go Ferrari hunting with less than 300hp.

I was more impressed by the Hachi's and Silvias, not to mention the Wangan style Modena.

after comparing the japanese cars, to the american show cars. the american show cars look sooo cheap all of hte sudden, plus the japanese cars aren't carpet queens and are actually raced. now that is way its suppose to be.
