89Lamarossa VS. 89 Testarossa Test drive, race Pics

Test drive

A buddy of mine got a Testarossa to rub it in my face every time he's on the road. 89 V12 this is one sick ass car. I got a ride in it and even got to drive it for 10 minutes.

Yup gears are just like my 89 supra with a grind in second gear before the car warms up. Guess that would be the first reason the gated it. Absolutely one amazing machine. With a $70g price tag.

1st and 2nd are ok but that 3rd gear and 4th rips. Endless gears it just feels like I never have to shift. Not too much legroom at all and the dang thang are so wide and low. We were looking up at Ford Escorts at the lights.

390bHP sure feel like 500.

Race

So I pulled up one day at a light leading toward the 2 lanes highway revving at him and he smiled. After the bullshit talk we took off easy and at about 40 both car started to roar. Goddamn exhaust sound so sweet climbing toward 6300 redlines.

At the end of second gear at 60 I started to pull by a car and then after I had shifted a car and a half at 75 mph. He started to gain back the car and a half at 95 around and 110 started to pull away from me pretty fast. After 120 he was about 5 cars away and pulling. Hehehe what a blast. I wish I had a bigger turbo hehehe.

That Supra would smoke that Testarossa if it was riced out and you had some good performance parts instead of you making it into a Ferrari.

I hate people that say stupid shit like that. Obviously you can rice out a car and make it faster than any other car. Take that money and put it into the Ferrari and then let's see who's on top.
