I have diagrams for a 98. I'm sure it covers the 97. Do you have:
1: With Autolamps 2: Without Autolamps 3: With Daytime Running Lamps |

What part of the 4x4 system are you looking for, the transfer case motor or the dash switch? I didn't find either at my source of diagrams, and I don't have the FSM for 1993. -Rod |

I'd suspect a break in the wires where they pass from the rear gate to the body of the vehicle. You can probably find the wiring diagrams on AutoZone's website.

Re: wiring diagram for a ford explorer 4.0L
Welcome to the forum!
Have you tried the Autozone website? Many of the Explorers of that vintage have a pre-wired circular trailer wiring connector underneath the left rear (driver's side in US) tailight. You pull out the rubber cover and then plug a trailer wiring pigtail into it. -Rod |
