I'm pretty sure I could clone a car for ALOT less than the originals are going for.I don't see a problem with it for the average guy that can't afford the motgage these musclecars are demanding. I just don't like when people try to pass them off as the real thing. Cloning can't be all that bad, look at all the cobra kit cars.

Re: Camaro Z28

cloning is different than the kit cars in my opinion. you can have a camaro that is not a clone but can you have a cobra that is not a cobra, aside from kit cars? nope. besides we are talking hundreds of thousands of dollars difference. i have personaly met and talk to carol shelby and worked on a couple of his cobras. the damn things are amazing. now a camaro, you can have just a regular camaro, why does it matter if it has the badges or not. there are no rules that say it must be stock. if you want all the goodies then put them on it. but why do you need badges. now when you say cloning it means misrepresenting something as something its not. just because you put in the engine and shifter and guage cluster and stuff i dont concider that cloning. thats customizing. there is a big difference. to me cloning is making it look like something its not. why would you want that. so you can be like oh look my car is fake. no, you will tell people that its real, or not tell them either way. but no matter what its misrepresenting it. if you want the things that came with a different model then just build it that way but dont make it look like it as far as badges and stuff, its just bad.
