1959 Cadillac Lowrider, 1963 Impala SS Lowrider, final progress photos.
The Caddy looks like the Batmobile I know, but it looks nice.
The Impala has finally been done in dark wine red like I wanted, with a white roof. Both will be finished within the week most likey so keep an eye out if Lowriders tickle your fancy. Soon I will be doing a `39 Chevy Delivery Bomb, old school style. Aswell as finishing my Monte Carlo and after that I am on a break until some models arrive, which I will be building a Ranchero Lowrider from and a few others, I will get a chrome 283 Chevy engine that I want to put in a 65 Impala SS or 67 Impala SS kit, has anyone got any offers for some? Anyway on to the pictures! |

Done.
Someone should tell Igor that the quick copy bar for "Share this photo on the message boards" doesn't work with '-med.' in it |

Awesome work, Purpura. Black is the hardest colour to work with, but you've done an excellent job. The candy red is a dazzler. Can't wait to see em in one piece!

Re: 1959 Cadillac Lowrider, 1963 Impala SS Lowrider, final progress photos.
Thanks homie, I still don't use undercoat, clear coat, wax or compund either. I dont want to spend even more money on my models then I already do.
That red is the Tamiya Red Mica (TS-39) over a Tamiya Light Gunmetal base. I found that with metallic colours I use another metallic colour as a base and it comes out looking metal-flake. |

Thanks for the replies.
That black was just straight out of a Tamiya can with no clear or polishing, looks very nice, I'm getting good results with my paints now. You should see the 37 Ford Coupe I sprayed italian red, no undercoat etc and you can see your reflection in every panel : I just did all thechrome work on the Impala, I might end up finishing it within 2 days |

Looks great. I love that red paint job. It kind of reminds me of my dad's candy apple red paint job.

I like! Has anyone ever played "Twisted Metal"? Delujo should make "Thumper" the pink/white Impala lowrider, with machineguns and a flamethrower!!
