The new s60 r runs a 14.0 in the 1/4 because of its high safety ratings and all that extra weighted shit on the car.
The Ford Fairmont has to be the best sleeper ever. It looks like a heavy beast but really weighs somewhere around 2900 I think, correct if wrong, but a very good sleeper.

Yeah, the Fairmont is a classic sleeper. I saw a nice buildup on one using a 392ci stroker, made around 450hp.

What about a mk1 mk2 gti with a turbo vr6? A little old vedub with over 300 hp. Or the 60-70s beetles with some money thoes will pull the front wheels off the ground and run 10s. Who has seen a 10 sec beetle? Just check the mag hot vws or something like that. There are tons of 10 sec beetles out there. I am not sure if they are street legal though. It still would be fun to smoke a nice new vett in a rusty beetle. I can't believe anyone has talked about these yet.

Of course you can. You fit can a 2.2L TBI, 2.5L TBI, 2.2L T1, 2.5L T1, 2.2L TII, 2.2L TIV, or a 2.2L TIII into ANY Omni. The mounts are all the same. If you're going to do a swap make sure you get an A-520, A-555, or A-568 transmission to bolt onto the engine along with ALL the underhood wires and computer. If you need any help just ask.

Re: Best Sleepers
buick century with the l67 3.8 liter supercharged engine swap. build the motor 500 hp in a car that could be less then 2700 pounds. 1989 weights under 3000...so there its done...sleeper 4 door...not as good as the mini van though

Best sleeper has to be my 91 Nissan Stanza Xe with a Pulsar Gti-R SR20DET swap. Pushing 250 at the wheels right now. E/T 13.5
