The only point in badging your car any differently is to please the owner. Its just the same with tuning your car or putting a body kit on it. Not everyone is going to to think that a certain body kit looks good on your car but as long as you think it does what does it matter?
I know a guy with a 89'gt that has a 3 inch cowl hood and I think it looks horrible but he loves it so what does it matter. The only opinions that count are the ones that you let count.
with that said anyway you look at it -ignorance is bliss

I suppose this is all relative to ones definition of "fake badging". I have a V-6 mustang and I have a rear "SVT" badge and side badges that were specially made from billet aluminum. I consider my ride a "Special Vehicle" and I consider myself part of the "Special Vehicle Team" thus the rear badge. It it is not a "SVT Cobra Badge" just a plain "SVT". I have built the engine from the ground up and without the bottle it puts 325 horses to the rear wheels....with the wet system engaged I get around 425 rwhp. The suspension has also been severley modified and not even corvettes can keep up with it. Bottom line....I have much time and many mods in this stang and it deserves the "SVT" badging. As a matter of fact I'm even considering putting GTR side emblems on it. After all, I did build one as this car was built for the track.

Ewww... actually your wrong. Forgot the wheels, tires, 35th anniversary gt badging, hood scoop, and the gt fog lights, v-8 rumble, gt dash, 150mph guages, and floormats.Their might be some of those options on the v-6's but not all.
by the way, if i could debadge i would, hell that way i would pull up to people and actually get them to race me. I cant get ANYBODY to race me now, and my car's not even that fast. They just see Mustang GT on the side and say no.

Fake badging is just retarded.
The worst case i ever saw was a Mustang GT with Honda badges all over it...the moron had yanked the 5.0L V8 out, and i'm sure you can imagine the rest.
He thought it would be faster. Genuinely thought it would be faster.

The only time i would condone changed badging/debadging is if you're trying to make your car a sleep
Examples:
Mustang GT w/removal of GT Badge
Prelude VTEC w/removal of VTEC badge
99-00 Civic Si w/removal of Si badge and/or replacement for EX/LX badge.
Integra GSR w/removal of VTEC badge
Senta SE-R w/removal of SE-R badge and/or replacement for SE/XE badge.
Just my opinion though...don't flame plz.

Re: Car Badging
I personally like my car to have no badges...this way it makes it more enjoyable when you beat the other guy and they ask you if its gt or something like that. Then you tell them to add salt to the wound
