HEY.......how much is an nsx........70, 80 grand......how much is a tiburon.....15-20 grand...... its funny because you put 15 grand into a tiburon and it would be a hell of alot fASTER than a nsx.....which are rich people cars.....hey do you drive one! didnt think so.....try to compare tiburons with a comperable car. By the way...i have an 89 stang which i have put 25grand or so into....and it will blow away lambos and ferraris in the 1/4 mile......that doesnt mean i am going to say my stang is comparable.

If you read his comment it says when YOU make a car better then the NSX he was not compairing them....

Ok so you run 10/11s with 25 grand. My car would run that with less than half of what you wasted on yours. So dont try to brag how much money you put into your car.
Also, the pricetag of the Z06 has something your 5.0 doesnt have. Its called Superb handling. Theres a reason why the car costs $50k. Dont even compare an NSX to a Tiburon. Something as high as the NSX should never be put in the same sentence with anything Hyundai makes. Remember... You can make anything fast with enough money, but at the end of the day youre still driving a POS. And you can never outrun ugly.

yOU SHOULD KNOW THE 25GRAND WASNT JUST TO GO FAST.I brought it to only 3 car shows last year...won 2 , and second place in the third show....I COULD HAVE PUT 8GRAND INTO MY STANG AND MADE IT EASILY FASTER THAN A ZO6.(Not to mention my car is a whopping 15yrs older than the z06. IF THE ZO6 HAS SUCH SUPERB HANDLING....THEN WHY IS THE TIBURON SO CLOSE TO THE same HANDLING...CHECK OUT THIS SITE TO PROVE IT. 30 GRAND LESS....HANDLING AS GOOD!
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...rk/index1.html
Enough said. Why do people talk with their asshole so often......I had a snob yell something at me in his yellow zo6 friday as he was driving by me .....funny thing is my car is 200hp more powerful......sorry i am not a rich snob able to afford a faggy yellow zo6...not saying vettes are faggy...but the color i believe was. There is no reason to down anyone elses car...unlesss of course they think its faster or handles better when in fact it does not......If anyone gets in a new tiburon and takes it for a ride....and doesnt think it is an excellent car for the money, then they need their head checked. Hey dkshadow......what car do you drive anyway....

Ok i just read the Motortrend article - http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ark/index.html -
If you would have read that, along with PowerCrazy, you would have known there were TWO, count them TWO meaning more than one Tiburons during that event. One being a STOCK, out of the dealer Tiburon... the other being a Tiburon Race Car.
Direct quote
Quote:
|
Test gear humming, we warmed up the race-car's slick tires and laid down the quickest 0-60-mph time we've ever recorded for a front-drive car at 5.7 sec. Granted, this Tiburon weighs some 473 lb less than the production version
|
Even with slicks and weighing 473 lb less than a production version, it only ran 5.7? The production version is 7 secs. Wow, its too fast for ya. Yep thats a Z06 killer.
Now... What i was arguing with PowerCrazy was that he was betting his life that a stock Tiburon could beat a Z06. Nope, the Tiburon was actually 3.62 secs slower while the Tiburon Race Car was the one that beat the Z06.
Direct Quote.
Quote:
|
Between laps three and four, the car was transformed and shaved off an astounding 5 sec, down to a 0:58.64 lap. The best was yet to come, however, and on lap seven, a 0:57.78 ticked off on our way to consistent high-57-sec lapping
|
So it says during laps 3-4 the car ran a time better than the Z06, which ran the 1.1 mile course at 0:59.50. BUT, before it... The Tiburon was running worse times than the production version. Typical though since its a race car and with more laps it tends to get better. So it took it 7 laps to make its best time of 57.78. But before it, a STOCK Z06 was making way better times than the Production version and the racing version Tiburon. It just means that with ALOT of money, and race cars arent cheap mind you, A car can beat another one.

13s with a Z06? Thats a VERY lousy driver. If a person cant run mid 12s in his Z06 he needs to learn how to drive the car more. Same goes for a person that cant run 12s in an 03 Cobra or low to mid 13s in an LS1.
Oh and my car is an 03 Mustang GT.

i can't belive you all have the balls to compare a zo6 vette to a tibby , tibbys are in no way able to out run a zo6 notta not gonna happen theyre not that fast to begin with and the zo6,well it just is , and i think Dkshadow would agree the Ls6 is a great motor and the 195 horse turd that hyundai uses is a uhhh turd!

Weather, humidity, altitude, winds, temperature and track condition all affect how individual cars perform on the strip. My Camaro ran 11.40's for 8 runs in a row last fall and I haven't been able to get better than 11.83 since then, even with 30 more horsepower and better tires. Why? The humidity and temperature this time of year in Florida. Nobody driving a stock '03 Cobra here (8 regulars, one a 25-year racer with rock-solid driving abilities) has cracked the 12's. We only have 1 Z06 driver that runs at this track (Bradenton Motorsports Park) and he did run a 12.94 last fall.

Yeah that's real smart
So we have a stock vette, that runs, rides, and idles just as smoothly as stock (cuz it is stock). It gets 30 miles to the gallon, handles really good while at the same time riding as good as a stock car (it's stock, remember?) It's as relliable as it came from the factory (stock, remember?) and it has a full factory warranty (because it's stock). Oh, did I mention it's stock?
And you want to compare it to a Tiburon that's had more money in mods than the price of the car itself? So you're saying someone who buys a Tiburon can afford to drop 25 grand cash into their cars, but someone who can afford a Z06 doesn't have any money for mods?
Do you know anyone who paid cash for their Tiburon? Do you know anyone who paid cash for their Z06? I doubt it, because most people finance their cars. So the whole "Whaa whaa he spent more money than me" argument is really stupid, isn't it?
Ever heard of "run what ya brung"? It's what real racers do. We race and let the cars do the talking, or shut our mouths. Whining about price only works with the bench racers on the internet.
BTW - I totally do not buy your Stang story. Got any proof?

considering those bench racers are mostly 13 yr old kids with a computer and a dream this is stupid lemme splain,ok first you take a stock tibby, and a stock zo6 and haha a stock 5.0 mustang. put them through thier paces and who will come out on top? the zo6 no shit, then ok lets take that tiburon race car,the corvette c5R,and ummm,a non excistent 5.0 mustang race car who will come out on top? the vette duh mainly because the corvettes only racing program beats the hell outta any tiburon program and the non excistent mustang program.ok now for your modded cars ok first for your mustang stock it puts out oh, i dunno 250hp? im dun have time for mustangs thats just est. for the 5.0,the tiburon is i belive 195hp. and the zo6? 405! well lets say we put $25,000 into each one im willin to bet you that the tiburon would just plain die,the 5.0 would be considerable against the stock zo6 and the modded zo6 destroys all of the above. my point is you can't compare modded cars to stock if you have a super modded tibby YOU CAN'T BRAG ABOUT IT WHEN YOU BEAT A STOCK Z06! thats just not fair take the zo6 with the same amount of mod's(in money) and then lets race. and as for that mustang dude im sorry but your car is nothing special at all get over yourself.

A twin-engine Tib.... Little more than twice the warranty problems... You'd be better-off throwing money into a fireplace and lighting it.

gee let's put 2 engine in any car and it would blow ONE engine cars. DUH. Really, that tibby is really making other tibby owners in shame. If I own any car that is featured in reputable magazine with 2 engines running ONLY 11 sec on JET FUEL I will be rather ashamed...
