Stang GT
4.6-Liter, 16-Valve, 90-Degree V8, SOHC, SEFI Engine, Front/Longitudinal Mounted With Horsepower Of 260@5250, Torque Of 302@4000, Cast Iron Block, Cast Aluminum Cylinder Heads
What hyundai needs to do is come up with a unique technology like VTEC, NSX like honda, Rotery for Mazda, Evo for Mitsu, Supra for Toyota....American companies like Chevy got corvette, Dodge got Viper... Hyundai got no Flagship cars.

stang gt has 260 hp and runs 15.00 or 14.9 in 1/4 mile and a stock tiburon has 170 hp and runs 15.4 in 1/4 mile WTF is up with that? By the way in europe hyundai has a variable valve timing engine called CVVt and will be here with in a year or so.

Dude where the fuck have you been? Are you stupid to believe those shitty MotorTrend/CarNDriver and whatever else shitty magazines? They ran LS1s at 13.9s.... NEWS FLASH!!!! "THEY CANT DRIVE A CAR WORTH OF SHIT!!!"
A decent driver can run a STOCK Mustang GT to 14.0-2... Theres some people that have hit 13s BONE STOCK! Not to mention... Bring down the raceweight(32-3300), slicks, drag setup, and given YOU can launch the damn thing and know your shift points... You have a 12 second Mustang GT with ONLY 245-265RWHP!!!!
Get out of magazine racing and hit the strip where REALITY is!

Those are professional drivers that put those numbers up. They wouldn't publish the magine and have millions of people read them if they were false.

Professional? I personally dont believe theyre times... Its also somewhat contradicts itself... CnD or some magazine got 15.1 in the 1/4 with their GT... Motortrend ran a 14.0 with their 5spd Mustang GT... I run 14.4 with a bonestock auto GT. Even MM&FF ran their bone stock Mustang GT to a 13.8. Motortrend, i believe, also ran an LS1 f-body and barely broke out of the 14s. (13.9) Im sure you know that LS1s run very low 13s, even some breaking into the 12s (MM&FF, a mustang magazine, ran their bone stock 99 Z28 to a 12 second pass). So ill keep on believe real world numbers instead of magazines Besides theyre not all that good of a driver (dragging that is) They dont powershit, they dont try to lower psi to launch, etc.
Also on a side-note... Motortrend tends to BS a little. I wont get into it since ive already said it many times across this board,.. but their review of the Mach 1 Mustang was so full of BS. The things they said about it wasnt even true.

You folks need to reread the DG's rules that you agreed to ; namely, that there would be no use of the sort of language you are currently using. Expletives are not to be used in here, plus...they are offensive to people who know the difference between right from wrong , they are completely unnecessary, they show the immaturity of the user, and they show the aggresive uncontrolled nature of the verbal abuser. In a civil world....it is WRONG to use language like that. So stop it immediatley please, find out how to talk properly, or..buzz off to a DG that doesnt care about profanity and the like.
Thank you and as always...have a nice day.

If he's so much of a pansy that a few bad words will offend him, first leave here and then go grow some balls

Dude you've lost your marbles if you think a 4 cylinder Tiburon with intake and exhaust can hang with a Mustang GT. The reason you're "burning" them in the 60ft is because they're not racing you, then they see you take off and give it a little gas and catch you.

I think soon he's gonna change it to a twin turbo which I think ITS turbo is coming out with. The nitrous is a 200hp shot from a NOS big shot two stage. Along with all this the body has been extensivly lightened, and like i said, most of the stuff is custom because of lack of real quality aftermarket parts for the new tibs. He has connections in some of the companies that make certain parts and he gets stuff custom fabricated. And the last I knew he had it just over 400hp, but that was also before some more little tweaks he did with the timing and all that so it might be higher but only maybe 5-10 more, not much at all. But that's that, and im sure if you live in the area he'd be more than happy to show you the car and then the rear end as he hauls ass away from you if you'd like.

BS!!!
 X 50!
a 200 shot on a Tiburon V6??? A "computer chip" controlling all this??? A frickin cold air intake on a turbo???
Just give up.

I have very little traction for the first 100' and only pull 125. You run roughly 20 hp more, an automatic, 700 less pounds, and only run 12.86?!
Let's look at one other aspect.... K&N and 2 other speed shops are sponsoring this? Who's leg are you trying to hump?

Dude, look at his trap speed! 135mph, That's no 12 second trap speed!

what cars might that be? The SRT4, which is a full second quicker through the 1/4 for the same price? The Spec V, which comes with an LSD and the same power, for less money? Maybe the Mazdaspeed Protege, which could handle circles around it? Wasn't the Tiburon 5th place in SCC's "Top 8 cars under $20,000" test?

WHERE the HELL did you get that? The Tib's V6 is NOTORIOUS for bending rods at around 250 whp
Have any of you Tiburon owners EVER been to a racetrack??? Trying to compare it to a Z06 x a million

Re: is there a point? really?
when you make a car that's better then NSX, start flaming Honda, but that will never happen, so can you please stop and flame the drivers, not the actual car company.[/quote]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
HEY.......how much is an nsx........70, 80 grand......how much is a tiburon.....15-20 grand...... its funny because you put 15 grand into a tiburon and it would be a hell of alot fASTER than a nsx.....which are rich people cars.....hey do you drive one! didnt think so.....try to compare tiburons with a comperable car. By the way...i have an 89 stang which i have put 25grand or so into....and it will blow away lambos and ferraris in the 1/4 mile......that doesnt mean i am going to say my stang is comparable.

How stupid is that comment........how about you put the same amount of money into a tiburon as a zo6 costs, then see which is faster......i have 25grand into my stang and a zo6 is almost 2 seconds slower in the 1/4 mile......and zo6 still costs more...lol
