The MPC's big-scale Dodge Charger
Hi friends,
Anyone have any new information about the MPC large scale Dodge Charger? I did a pre-order to a Ebay's Store GMS Customs of 1/16 General Lee 'reissue'. Just yesterday I received a message of Gene from GMS Customs, and he told me that I will receive my order in early March. I'm very impatient. Anyone know anything about the quality of this kit? Round2 has made improvements in the reissued kits? Cheers, Edwing

Re: The MPC's large-scale Dodge Charger. News?
The is scheduled to be released the end of this month. I have a couple on order. I've heard nothing about the molds being updated, and built only a few MPC models. Their quality isn't the best, sometimes downright terrible (see the 1/16 427 Cobra), but I expect it'll be a fun car to build.

If this is a straight reissue of the old 1:16 General Lee Charger, you will be disapointed to find that it is basically a Nascar kit of that era. Full cage on the inside and full cage in the engine bay. This is what I recall of the one I built 20+ years ago, maybe it was an optional thing and the stock parts were there (I was only 12 or 13 years old, it's tough to recall)
I do recall that it was not a very easy model to build, but it was very well detailed.

1/16 MPC - 69' Dodge Charger 'General Lee' - Review!
Hello guys!
This is my latest acquisition, the reissue of the legendary Dodge Charger General Lee (MPC 752/06). Today I went to find the kit in the post office and opened the box, I have been regularly satisfied. Round2 only been concerned to update the box-art, but could have been more careful about the content of the box. The sets of pieces are separated into bundles, but within each package, many of the pieces are all jumbled up like a salad. Old habit of MPC . Here are some pictures: I was expecting a lot of work, but one thing is certain: thanks to MPC many modelers can enjoy the large scale models of the Dodge Charger
