Lightbulb Shock swap- 98 Accord to 93 Accord? Will it work?

Money is tight...Can I possibly swap the shocks from my 98 into the 93? The reasoning behind this is that the shocks will have less weight to spring in the 93 and thus might last just a little longer. Is this retarded? I'm normally a decent mechanic but this was suggested to me and I'm stumped. Then again, if it is possible I'd love to do it!

Some details:

The 98 is an EXL V6

The 93 is a 4cyl Automatic EX

Somebody please set me straight. Thanks fellas

I highly doubt it will work. The 93 should have skinny springs while the 98 has fat springs. All you need to do is look at the 2 and you will see they are not close.
