Oh of course man . You should like the cars because you like the cars, not cause of what someone else says. I wouldn't even pretend to have a favorite car type... they've all got their ups and downs, they all drive different, and they're all cars.
The little Honda comment of mine is really only a joke. I would role in an S2000 or an NSX any day.
I seriously don't like FWD, but it has it's advantages - like better fuel economy. It's just not a race bread design. I do see the fun in trying to get FWD cars to turn better 1/4 mile times though. It's new territory, a new challenge, there's still somewhere to go with it. I just personally dislike FWD cars.
I don't understand why there's always so much fuss about tuning Japanese cars. Last time I looked there were also many Jettas on the road - and guess what, they're imports to. I never hear anyone complaining about someone else tuning an Audi.
If I had a car collection, you'd see vehicles with turbocharged 3.0 ltr V6s and I6s, with 427 CID V8s and auto trannies, 60 valve V12s, and rotary engines. Each car would get just as much love and attention as the other.
Cars are cool!

Re: the rice burner anthem
if acura is an imprort jus cuz it carries honda products, then i guess the dodge stealth is an import. the dodge stealth is built off the mitsubishi 3000GT and the stealth has a mitsubishi engine in it. practically the only thing different is the styling of the two cars.
when people say imports are gay, they should distinguish between european and japanese. cuz japanese cars are gay (except for nissan) and almost all european cars are the best there is. when you say that imports are gay, you are saying ferrari is gay, and that is unlawful.

Re: the rice burner anthem
What the hell, see this is exactly what i am saying, people come on and say "Japanese cars are gay" you sound like a 7 year old, and japanese cars do not suck, just because you hopped on the bandwagon of biased Yankee car lovers does not mean that Japanese cars suck.

Re: the rice burner anthem
the reason i dont like them is cuz the only ones i see mostly have jus looks and no performance whatsoever. my brothers stock saturn beat a civic with a body kit and a huge spoiler. i love nissans, in fact, im getting a nissan 300zx soon, but i jus dont like other japanese cars cuz around here, they arent fast.
and another thing nissan fan, i never said that i liked domestic cars. im not a yankee jus cuz i dont like japanese cars, i like european cars like i said.
the last thing nissan fan, if you are trying to be politically correct, it is an automobile not a automobile.

Re: the rice burner anthem
Alright man, see those cars are called "All show and no go" in the future judge a car by its performance, if you see it runs fast and maybe its a Integra Type R, you can just say "thats pretty nice" when you see a civic like you described you can say "Wow, you give a bad name to car fans!" but if you want to call basicly all Japanese cars shit....well i wont stop you. Last thing, i cant seem to notice a diff.."automobile not a automobile"???

He means the "an" instead of "a"
But freakonaleash1187,,, politically correct???
Don't you mean grammatically correct ??
dumbass
You do know that a 300zx isn't very fast right?
You need a Twin Turbo or to do the VG30DETT swap for that thing to be as fast as it looks. And you were born in '87 right? Enjoy the insurance bro...

Re: the rice burner anthem
Um, I thought that the 300zx has either a VG30DE\DET\DETT Just depending on what model you got, and the Claimed HP at the wheels is like 276. Im a sucker for the 1990-96 Fairladys.
(276Hp on the DETT of course)
Oh, and regarding the insurance for young drivers, Damn i love canada!! their going to stop discrimination because of age, but the 2 Door will still have an effect.

The 90+ 300zx got the VG30DE with 222 hp, the 300zx TT made 300hp (both hp ratings at the crank). The 1990 Twin Turbo hardtop however is 1461 kg / 3221 lbs, the convertable is something like 3400 lbs...
The power doesn't go very far with weight numbers like that.
I do love the way those cars look though.
I said he'd need the VG30DETT swap because I assumed it would be a N/A (which most people seem to get as they are less $$$, especially if you're 16). But it would be so much cheaper to start with a TT (hint hint)

Ok dude, you were the one going off on people who like Jap cars which are in fact gay, according to you...
You can have your opinion, I haven't knocked you for it yet have I?
I simply asked the reason for your opinion.
It is also a sad fact that you will have to pay more for insurance if you drive a 300zx (TT or N/A).
But good luck to you.
I'm curious though; Toyota is a Jap company, and they make the Supra, which is faster than the 300zx. In fact, the Supra's completion was delayed 2 years because Toyota designed it to be superior to the 300zx TT.
Is Toyota gay?

Re: the rice burner anthem
let me refrain my opinion, MOST japanese cars are NOT COOL. if you want to get in detail, i like all nissans, toyota supra, and the honda s2000. if you count acura as a japanese brand, which some people i know do, i like all acuras.
i would buy the 300zx TT but i dont have the money for that right now and also i would think about the supra, but they are expensive too. at least around here.
i am jus going to drop the subject about being mean cuz im not going to fight like a little kid. i will jus let it go. we cool?

Well I know you like Euro cars and all, but obviously not all Euro cars are Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, etc...
Actually, I'd be willing to bet most cars produced on earth are not seemingly sporty to either you or myself, regardless of their origin of conception.
BTW, just so this thread doesn't get closed or anything, maybe we should still comment a little on the song.... hehe.
Anyway, it's late and I'm tired.
Go USC!
Later.

Re: the rice burner anthem
cool song. hah
Im a classic car guy, i believe without old speed there wouldnt be new speed. In the 60's most grocery getting 4 door wagons could do 110mph. You cant say that about that many wagons today. Many japanese cars today arnt built with performance in mind. Civics for example are a wise choice for people who need to travel everyday and need to save money on gas. What confuses me is why would any sane 16yr old kid would want to try and make a civic into some sort of race car? I use the civic as an example because they're most common in my area. Personally I think most japanese cars look nice, STOCK!. Body kits, oversized spoilers, and huge buzzing exhaust cans totally ruin the nice look of the cars, FOR WHAT?! Not only the cars annoy me, the punk drivers who think a VTEC is something to be proud of. I'd would give a guy more respect if he didn't have it painted like it hit a
baskin robbins stand and have some kinda of indy car spoiler on it , and a chinese resturant menu with dragons on the side. As I said, im a classic car kinda guy, thats why i own a 67 El camino. This is obviously not a daily driver so that also why I drive a 89 honda accord 4 door, its definately no hot rod but its reliable, and gets around just fine. I have no problem with japanese cars when they're done up right.

Re: the rice burner anthem
see, thats what i mean when i say that i dont like japanese cars. cuz most people make them look stupid. so those people give a bad impression on japanese cars. every once in a while i will see a cool japanese car, but not that often.
