Ford Escort RS 1800
Hello!
I started this project as a simple way, no big changes, just showing the my way of building a model car. Well, I have to admit, I did make some "minor" adjustments. 1980 was the year When Ari Vatanen win his first rally in Acropolis with codriver David Richards. Vatanen did win 10 WRC rallys and Paris Dakar and Pikes Peak... Model is Revells old, not so brilliant model. I did some weathering it too. Some more pictures in http://public.fotki.com/11011011/ford-escort-rs1800/ to see adjustment i did. |

Fantastic. The engine bay looks like you did a lot of work there. Great model you made, from the weathering to the base.

Re: Ford Escort RS 1800
some "minor" adjustments! Who are you trying to fool?
I don`t speak finnish but i followed you`re build on FCMA. This is an amazing build. I`m a great fan of these mk2`s and your build will be a great source for my future escort builds. Nothing but respect from Belgium.:w orshippy For the people that are interested, here`s the complete build : http://www.fcma.fi/FCMABBS/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8213 |

Re: Ford Escort RS 1800
Thank you! First when I started to built this kit, I did not want to use any Etched parts or do any big constructions. Just a simple way to do a weathered rally car, and write how I do my models. Well, I just cant built a basic model, there is allways something what could look a little better. Now there is some etched parts and chassis is a little better than original. But I was going to built this in 3 months, but it take allmost 11 months. There might just be coming a new Base where you can look car just like here and other side you can see the chassis from under.
