93 S10 Blazer brake pedal goes to floor slowly
Please offer some guidance...93 Blazer...brake pedal slowly goes to the floor when pressed...no fluid leaks and I don't ever have to add fluid...I replaced the master cylinder (bench bled properly)...no help...bled the system at each wheel...no help...I don't know what else to try...

Does it have a full brake pedal with engine off? Are rear brakes adjusted up good? On the going to floor is that with engine running or engine off and hard or light push?

Re: 93 S10 Blazer brake pedal goes to floor slowly
Was replaced with a rebuilt.
I did not try it with engine off...good idea...will try. I have not looked at the rear brakes other than to check shoes a few months ago. With engine running and applying the brake, I notice immediately that the pedal goes farther than it used to and will slowly go to the floor. |

Always make sure rear brakes are adjusted up good. If air has got into ABS unit it willo also need to be bleed out. Confirm good full solid pedal engine off.

Re: 93 S10 Blazer brake pedal goes to floor slowly
I don't know whether 4 wheel or 2 wheel anti lock...there are two bleeder fittings on the ABS unit so I would assume 4 wheel?...fluid will only bleed from one of them...I will check the rear brakes...is there a procedure for bleeding the ABS unit or is it as simple as it looks?...pedal leaks down with engine off also....it leaks down at the is rate...sitting at a stop sign and if I have to wait for 5 cars to go by I have to take my foot off of the pedal and press it again.
