My leak is rusted and leaks...

Ya the ROOF of my '86 E150 is concave to a degree toward the back, which has caused a depression in which rust has formed, and eventually a leak evolved.

Now, just looking at it from the top, there's about 3 square feet of rust in a compacted area where the leak is eminating from. Now, is there some kind of product I can use that will apply some coat of material that will seal the leak and protect from rust in the future? Should I do some kind of fiberglass fixture, then apply something? Just wondering about good products I can use.

Ultimately, is this a problem I should leave to a repair shop or do u guys have any good secret products that will help me out?

Re: My leak is rusted and leaks...

There was a good rust-treatment thread over on the Engineering & Technical section a while ago which is worth a read - you'll find it here. It didn't involve a roof, but the tools, materials and methods would still be relevant.
