92 Jetta Seatbelt interlock problem
Hello, this is my first post to the forum, hopefully someone can help.
My Daughters 92 Jetta Gl has a starting problem. I unclipped the fuse box from it's hanger and when the box is dangling down the car will start. When I put it back up on the hanger where it belongs it will not allow the engine to turn over. Seems as if a loose wire makes contact completing the interlock when hanging, then when put up the loose wire intermittently allows the interlock to not be complete. I have messed with the wires for two hours and cannot seem to find the problem. Is it possible to by pass the interlock system ? Or would someone know where else to begin ? Not really an electrical person but know enough to be dangerous . Thanks, Greg |
