Diesel Extremly low oil pressure
Hi, how's it going?. Im new to here but I have a little problem.I have a 1.6 turbo diesel swapped into my Suzuki Samurai.I now has all of a sudden really low oil pressure. Around 15 psi warm at the filter housing, 11 psi at the head. I replaced the vaccum pump oil pump and put in new rod and main bearings. Any suggestions?

Re: Diesel Extremly low oil pressure
Did you measure the crankshaft with a micrometer to check if standard bearings would be okay? Minimum crank journal sizes are 2.124" @ mains & 1.880" @ rods. If you don't have a micrometer you can check the clearance with plastigauge, max wear limit is 0.007" @ mains, 0.005" @ rods.

Re: Diesel Extremly low oil pressure
It's possible, does it have solid or hydraulic lifters?
