03 2500 help remove trip computer
I want to put a smll DC power jack in the side of the overhead trip computer / compass unit to power the radar detector without too much wire showing. Anyone know how to remove the housing without damaging things? Do I have enough juice up there to tap into without blowing the fuse? Any input appreciated.

Interesting idea....
It seems that the trim molding would have to be removed. Usually there are screws somewhere on the trim that will give you access to the unit. It might be a one piece section for the overhead. As far as voltage, I'm not an electronics guy, but you'd have to look at the schematic to see what voltage is up there. I'd think you should also look at the fuse for the overhead to see if it'll handle the load. If not, you could always run a wire from the lighter circuit up to the overhead unit (under the trim)
