97 cavalier 2.4 liters engine keeps turnig over with out keys

one day i came home turn of my car and take the keys out. the engine was still turnig over and it's fels like the starter was workig to, but the was no gas pumping,than i put the key back and turn in on position the car start running but with some kind of nose like starter turnig.i turned the key off and in about 3 min. the battery dead.next morning i tried to charge the battery in the first secone i plug the + the engine start to turn over.
i pull the starter and whent to autoshop,the starter is good.i change the ignition starter swith,still same problem.
i'm relly going crazy what else it can be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does that year cavalier have a relay in line to the battery?
