2001 Mazda Protege SE

Hi,

I test drove a 2001 SE model with auto trans. They want 10500 canadian for it, 20000km on it. An 86 year old man stopped driving it, his son purchased it off the lease and is selling it, he paid 11000 on the remainder of the lease and needs to sell it. It has a tiny scrape on the back and one on the front bumper but is otherwise in immaculate condition.

it has been certified and serviced already and has great tires etc. My problem is that apparently the 2001 SE comes in a 4 speed auto or 5 speed stick but the shifter only says 12D not 123D so is it a 3 speed or 4? i cant believe its a 3 speed....i couldnt find an OD button but maybe im just wrong, it has intermittant wipers and air/cd
