98 2.5TL Idle problems, please help

hey... I have a 98 2.5tl, with 90k miles... The car has been great up until now. Recently Ive had alot of trouble with it. When I come to a complete stop, the idle drops really low... sometimes even stalling on me. And it also has problems with the Idle jumping up and down lightly. Ive cleaned the IACV 3 times, Throttle body has been cleaned, new fuel filter, blead the coolant... And still the same problem. I dont know what else to check.. if anyone knows what else i can do please help.

I cleaned it really well, Ive had hondas before and I know the importance of a clean IACV.. but not only did I clean it but also swapped it off another tl that was fine... and still the same thing.... I just hear something near the IACV clicking on and off... and when I hear that noise, that is when it starts to idle bad...

All the answers you got are not the right answers. I had the same problem, and went throught the same process above, that you have. It is your air regulator. It cost around $150. I hope this helps, please let me know if it doesn't, but it finally worked for me.

Re: 98 2.5TL Idle problems, please help

Super old thread, but just in case it happens to anyone, my issue was fixed after changing my pre cat oxygen sensor.. My car had no check engine light, but I took a shot in the dark that worked.
