slight vibration and noise in brakes

I just took my 2011 Ford Fiesta to the dealer for the 70,000 mile checkup. I though it was odd that afterwards, the service tech told me that on the next visit i'd need new front brakes (he said they're OK for now) because i just had front brakes put on a year and a half ago by another shop.

The service included a tire rotation which i think was a mistake as i've never had them rotated before and i think the tires were too used to their position to start rotating now. So, i wasn't surprised to hear a little rumbling when i drive.

However, now, when i step on the brakes, there is a little rumbling and a slight vibration that wasn't there before. The car stops fine and there is no shimmy in the steering wheel. It's just a low rumbling and a little vibration in the brake pedal. Anyone have any ideas? How long can i drive like this? I ask because i'm going on a small trip tomorrow (200 miles round trip) and would like to know if it's safe to wait until i get back.
